Rebecca Nyquist Baelen is pursuing a Ph.D. in education policy at the University of Pennsylvania, focused on using positive psychology to enhance teacher education and to create cultures of human flourishing. She taught for five years and spent another two as a research coordinator at Character Lab, studying ways to measure and cultivate grit, self-control, and mindfulness.
