Nathanael Fast is an associate professor of management and organization at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. His research focuses on the determinants and consequences of power and status in groups and organizations. He also examines the interpersonal processes that lead people, ideas, and cultural practices to become and stay prominent. Recently, his lab has begun to study how and why people form particular types of social networks as well as how people change as they use technology. He received his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Stanford University.
