Chris Hulleman is a research associate professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Foundations at the University of Virginia, where he researches motivation. He is also a fellow at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and co-director of the Motivation Research Institute at James Madison University. He was a fellow-in-residence at the Center for Advanced Study of Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. He received his Ph.D. in experimental social and personality psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
