Edward Bellamy

Edward Bellamy (1850–1898) was an American author, journalist, and social reformer. He is best known for his best-selling utopian novel Looking Backward: 2000–1887 and its sequel Equality. Bellamy’s writing influenced some of the most well-known intellectuals and political leaders of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
