Ammaarah Martinus is the director of policy research and analysis at the Western Cape Government. She focuses on innovative research and policy development (such as behavioral insights and regulatory impact assessments) and the implementation of priority projects for the Western Cape. Prior to this role she has worked for the South African national government in intergovernmental relations and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Pretoria as a political officer.
