Lessons from Building a Behavioral Science Initiative in City Government
Here are eight lessons we learned from building a behavioral science initiative in Philadelphia’s city government.

Yuan serves as the assistant director of policy at the Mayor’s Office of Policy and Legislation in Philadelphia. She is currently focused on expanding the work of GovLabPHL, a multi-agency initiative committed to using evidence and data-driven practices in city government. Previously, she served as the program coordinator for an education civics non-profit in New York City and director of administration for the Office of the Inspector General. She holds a B.A. in geography and urban studies from Temple University.
